July 22, 2002—Indus International Inc., a supplier of enterprise asset management (EAM) software and services, announces that Fonterra Co-operative Group Ltd. is upgrading its comprehensive Indus solution to meet the increased business demands as New Zealand’s largest company. Fonterra Co-operative Group Ltd., was formed by the recent merger of Kiwi Dairies, the New Zealand Dairy Group, and the New Zealand Dairy Board. It is expected that Indus will enable the company to manage successfully the combined assets of the merged company in a cost-efficient manner. The application architecture implemented by Indus will support the management of asset costs, maintenance and inventory to increase Fonterra’s overall operational productivity. Fonterra states that it will double its user base to 2,000 named users.
