August 11, 2003—Oce Repro Desk 4.30.5 software is a Microsoft Windows-based print automation solution designed for use with the Oce 9000 series (Oce 9400, 9600, and 9800) of digital printing systems. This latest upgrade, designed for reprographers and their architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) clients, contains time-saving features and improved workflow at both the client and reprographer levels, offering many productivity benefits over traditional plot submission, says Oce.
For the client user, Oce Repro Desk Remote Client 4.30.5 software is an efficient job ticket creation, viewer, and submission tool. Users can assemble a set of files for printing, pre-determine output options, preview drawings exactly as they will be printed, complete a job ticket, and submit the set electronically to their reprographer for printing. Oce Repro Desk software provides full “what you see is what you print” (WYSIWYP) functionality, allowing the client to preview print jobs on his/her desktop before transmitting them to the reprographer via FTP, modem, or diskettes.
For the reprographer, Oce Repro Desk software enables them to receive, preview, route, and output jobs as well as log print statistics. This new release improves workflow, reduces print errors, and provides additional print revenue growth opportunities.
New features of the software include: enhanced color printing; weekly account reporting; enhanced auto print queue behavior; automatic back-up file creation; improved stability; and improved e-mail notification for clients.
