September 10, 2007—Nilfisk-Advance has announced the completion of its acquisition of the Viper Group. Based in China and the US Viper manufactures and distributes floor maintenance equipment. The acquisition was previously announced on May 8, 2007, pending approval by Chinese authorities, which is now complete.
With the acquisition now complete, Viper will operate under its present management as a self- standing entity within the Nilfisk-Advance family, says Nilfisk. Viper will continue to manufacture and distribute its products under the current Viper brand. The company offers a broad range of vacuums, single discs, floor machines, carpet extractors and air blowers. Viper’s expected sales revenue for 2007 is approximately $25 million. It employs approximately 690 people, mostly in China.
