NIOSH adds new topic page for risk from pesticides

December 3, 2003—The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has added a new topic page on Pesticide Illness & Injury Surveillance to its Web site. Groundskeepers, fumigators, and a variety of other occupations are at risk for exposure to workplace pesticides including fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, rodenticides, and sanitizers, says NIOSH. The site contains links to a variety of reports, publications, articles, state programs, and more, both within NIOSH and from other sources.
