NIOSH offers MRSA resources for workplace, schools, healthcare settings

December 10, 2007—The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has released a new Safety and Health Topic page offering recommendations for preventing the spread of MRSA, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, in the workplace.

MRSA and the Workplace provides practical information on good, basic health practices that workplaces can tailor for their individual needs in order to prevent the risk of infection.

NIOSH also offers Web pages on Questions and Answers about Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in Schools, MRSA in Healthcare Settings, and an Overview of Community-Associated MRSA.
