December 6, 2006—The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has released a new online publication to prevent workplace injuries during the installation of drywall. Workplace Solutions: Preventing Injuries from Installing Drywall (September 2006, Pub. No. 2006-147) offers recommendations to prevent overexertion and fall injuries in installers and carpenters who handle drywall sheets.
