NIOSH publications cover contact lens use, blood lead levels, and organic solvents

July 13, 2005—The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) recently released a new safety and health publication: Contact Lens Use in a Chemical Environment (NIOSH Publication No. 2005-139); and updated NIOSH Safety and Health Topic pages on Adult Blood Lead Epidemiology and Surveillance (ABLES) and Organic Solvents (used in such products as paints, varnishes, lacquers, adhesives, glues, and degreasing/cleaning agents, and in the production of dyes, polymers, plastics, textiles, printing inks, agricultural products, and pharmaceuticals).
