May 6, 2015—The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) launched publications and initiatives in recent weeks dealing with a broad range of workplace safety and health issues such as lead exposure, tobacco policies, suicide, work-related asthma, carpal tunnel syndrome among poultry workers, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever) and more. Several are highlighted below.
