September 16, 2005—Nova BioGenetics has announced that Soilbind Limited will be incorporating Nova’s antimicrobial technology into a wide range of unique applications for the agriculture and construction market sectors.
Soilbind Limited manufactures under license, and distributes internationally, water-based acrylic co-polymers for soil stabilizing and structural coating products and will now be incorporating Nova’s antimicrobial agent into their products. Soilbind provides solutions for eradicating microbial migration from one area to another and provides additional protection for the collection and re-use of retained rain water.
Soilbind polymers turn on-site soil and waste building materials into a construction material. These polymers are also used for surface sprayed dust and erosion control treatments, and their products have been accepted for use in water catchment or retention areas.
Don Hawkridge, Managing Director for Soilbind, recently stated, “We are delighted with the huge benefits provided by adding Nova’s antimicrobial to our own unique, environmentally-friendly products. Initially, we will focus on soil stabilizing, soil surface sealing, various surface treatments, and specific microbial and virus treatments, together with dust and erosion control.
