March 1, 2002—Novitas has introduced the SuperSwitch 2, the first automatic light switch designed to please users, building owners and energy managers.
Using advanced passive infrared technology to detect occupancy, SuperSwitch 2 automatically turns lights off when a room is vacated, and adjusts itself to make sure lights stay on when someone is in the room. SuperSwitch 2 is engineered to maintain optimum performance by adjusting sensitivity and time delay automatically and immediately in response to occupant behavior, eliminating the need to “learn” behavior patterns over time. It also automatically resets its time delay to a more convenient 10 minutes if the installer leaves the switch at the test setting of 15 seconds, this eliminating the need for follow-up adjustments. Users can turn off lights when a room is occupied by pressing the touchplate.
SuperSwitch 2 is a new addition to Novitas complete line of occupancy sensors for lighting control and HVAC in indoor applications. For more information, contact Novitas.
