Novitas One-Way Sensor offers energy-saving lighting/HVAC control for smaller spaces

The One-Way Super Dual Tech Sensor from Novitas provides problem-solving lighting and HVAC control for small spaces. Like the original Two-Way Super Dual Tech Sensor, the One-Way Sensor combines passive infrared and ultrasonic sensing, but is designed for use in smaller spaces or areas where sensing direction must be carefully controlled.

Features of the Super Dual Tech Sensors include:

  • Self-adjusting sensitivity and time delay minimize false ons or offs.
  • Sensor performance is not affected by changes in temperature or humidity.
  • Ultrasonic and infrared technologies are completely overlapping to ensure lights stay on reliably in occupied rooms.
  • Airflow tolerant technology overcomes the problem of false activations in unoccupied rooms due to heavy airflow, which is often mistaken for human motion. This maximizes energy savings in applications like classrooms and computer rooms where heavy airflow is common.
  • Built-in options and flexible interfaces allow integration with virtually any Building Automation System (BAS) system, increasing the efficiency of the BAS by controlling HVAC and other loads in addition to lighting.
  • The Manual On Option provides maximum savings where sufficient natural light is available.
