June 25, 2007—The Office of the Federal Environmental Executive (OFEE) recently announced the recipients of the 2007 White House Closing the Circle (CTC) Awards, which recognize outstanding achievements of federal employees and their facilities relating to environmental stewardship.
This year, 17 winners and 13 honorable mentions were selected from nearly 200 nominations in the areas of environmental management systems, pollution prevention, recycling, green product purchasing, alternative fuels, sustainable building, and electronics stewardship. This year the program also includes three special “Sowing the Seeds” awards issued by the FEC that recognize leadership in setting future vision.
