November 2, 2007—Office Depot, global provider of office products and services, recently announced the launch of its new “Tech Recycling Service” available at all of the Company’s 1,100-plus retail store locations in North America. The Office Depot program, which was piloted in 2006 in approximately 100 stores in the US, has already resulted in the recycling of more than 108,000 pounds of technology.
According to Office Depot, customers will now have the ability to recycle all of their technology items at one time by following three simple steps:
Step 1: Determine how many tech products you have to recycle and purchase the appropriate sized Tech Recycling Box at an Office Depot retail store location. (Boxes are priced at $5, $10, and $15, and include all shipping and handling.)
Step 2: Fill the box with acceptable technology items ranging from monitors, small televisions and printers to keyboards, digital cameras and cords and cables. (For a complete list, visit your local Office Depot store or go to the Tech Recycling Service Web page.
Step 3: Bring the filled but unsealed Tech Recycling Box to an associate at your local Office Depot store.
