OSHA awards $10.5 million in training grants for safety and health programs

September 29, 2004—The US Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration awarded on September 16 more than $10.5 million in Susan Harwood Training Grants to 69 nonprofit organizations for safety and health training and educational programs. The grants target programs for Hispanic and other non-English-speaking workers, and employers in small businesses, and workers who are employed in high-hazard industries such as construction and health care.
