Damalos & Sons, Inc., of Florida, was recently cited for the second time this year, this time for 14 safety violations. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cited the construction firm for knowingly exposing workers to potentially fatal fall hazards, as well as allowing employees to leave the worksite wearing clothing contaminated with lead. Both times the firm was cited, employees were preparing a bridge for repainting over the Rahway River near Elizabeth, New Jersey. OSHA is proposing penalties amounting to $217,500.
