“OSHA, RHS Solutions offer online construction safety course”

September 24, 2001—RHS Solutions, an Ohio-based provider of risk, occupational health, and safety consulting services, has announced the release of a Web-based ten-hour construction safety course in conjunction with the Region X Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Training Institute. The online course is part of OSHA’s Outreach Program for Construction and is intended to provide instruction on a variety of general construction safety and health standards. Students who successfully complete this online course are awarded Department of Labor (DOL)-OSHA wallet-sized cards of completion.

Both the University of Washington OSHA Training Institute Advisors and the OSHA Training Institute in Des Plaines, Ill., have verified the course.

The course covers the regulation for OSHA 29 CFR Part 1926 and is designed for construction workers, foremen, job supervisors, and anyone else involved in the construction industry. Course topics include introduction to OSHA, electrical safety, fall protection, materials handling, scaffold safety, excavation safety, ladder safety, personal protective equipment, permit-required confined space entry, and forklift safety. The course retails for $79.95 per student; however bulk-purchasing discounts are available for multiple students.
