March 3, 2004—Businesses can now gain access to OSHA-required, industry-specific workplace health and safety plans, reports OSHASystems. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires every business to have written health and safety plans for its employees that address the standards for their industry. OSHA compliance and employee training and testing are required to minimize a company’s risk and improve employee health and safety awareness.
Using OSHASystems, organizations can implement a fully compliant OSHA workplace health and safety program, including online safety training and testing for employees.
OSHASystems offers Internet-based health and safety plans and employee training. The OSHASystems Web site includes compliance services for the healthcare, insurance, retail and automotive service and repair industries, with additional industry categories continually being added.
As an example, for a $300 annual fee, a medical office with 10 employees would receive OSHA-required, industry-specific compliance procedures for illness and injury prevention, fire prevention, hazard communications, bloodborne pathogens and a lockout/tagout procedures program. Also included are:
- Online training and testing for employees
- OSHA compliance forms
- Management reports
- Online customer service
- Sample behavioral-based policies (alcohol and drug abuse, workplace violence and harassment (sexual and other forms)
