OsmoTechs electro-osmotic pulse technology removes water from below-grade concrete

September 3, 2004—OsmoTech, developer of Osmotic Pulse Technology for ending water intrusion in new and existing construction, has opened a St. Louis office to service the construction and facilities management sectors.

OsmoTech’s innovative technology was jointly developed with the Army Corps of Engineers and has been successfully used in military, federal and governmental buildings since 1991. The Construction Industry Forum recognized this patented technology with the prestigious Nova Award and it has twice been named a winner of the Civil Engineering Research Foundation’s annual Pankow Award for technology innovation.

Current users of the OsmoTech technology include the U.S. Department of Treasury, the Washington, DC Metro Transit Authority and more than 20 military, federal and governmental facilities throughout the United States.

Mr. Frank Cooper, Jr., Chief of Operations and Maintenance for the Department of Defense, Fort Jackson, SC, has used the Technology on three separate occasions and cites the OsmoTech process as, “The greatest technology to be made available to the facility maintenance community in many years.”
