December 7, 2001—Owens Corning has produced the latest advancement in asphalt paving overlay technology with the introduction of TruPave paving mat. TruPave mat is a high-performance, non-woven fiberglass/polyester hybrid fabric designed specifically for hot-mix asphalt pavements.
TruPave paving mat was engineered to help provide extended service life to asphalt pavements. It is backed with test data and technical support. TruPave can withstand the higher SuperPave mix temperatures without melting, shrinking, or stretching, minimizing installation and milling problems. When milled, TruPave is reduced to tiny fibers that can enhance the material properties of RAP.
