Panolam wins GREENGUARD certification for Fiber Reinforced Laminate

August 26, 2005—The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) has awarded Panolam Industries International, Inc. GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification for its FRL Fiber Reinforced Laminate.

Earlier in the year, GREENGUARD awarded certification to Panolam high-pressure laminates lines: Pionite, Micastat, ChemGuard, and MelCor II. The GEI tests all GREENGUARD certified products to the stringent GREENGUARD Standards for Low Emitting Products and monitors the products on a continual basis.

Designers and facility managers can specify GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified Panolam FRL for a variety of wall surfacing applications including hospitals and schools. Indoor air quality should be of the highest concern in any indoor environment, but special consideration should be taken for spaces where occupants are more sensitive to chemicals like hospital patients and children.
