PC Richard & Son extends coverage of MPG’s energy management to all its facilities

December 12, 2005—Maximum Performance Group (MPG), the newest Electric City Corp. subsidiary, is rolling out its patented industry-leading Energy Management and Control (eMAC) to all remaining PC Richard & Son facilities currently operating without the eMAC technology, according to the provider of Web-based, real-time energy asset management solutions. MPG is entering into its third year of successful energy management and HVAC monitoring for the leading retailer of home appliances, consumer electronics, and computer products.

Central to expanding this contract was the two-year energy savings measurement and verification report on the existing PC Richard facilities. MPG demonstrated consistent energy savings of more than 20% on the total facility energy consumption, accounting for more than $650,000 in annual energy savings for the chain that operates 51 retail facilities in New York and New Jersey.

According to MPG’s executive vice president Peter Richard, “Managing our systems real-time, via the Web through the e-MAC platform in all our facilities gives us the highest level of energy management and operational control. This translates directly to lower operating costs, higher customer satisfaction, and reduced down time during critical cooling months.
