Peregrine Systems, Inc., has been ranked fourth among B2B players in the e-Procurement space as identified by AMR Research in its latest technology market forecast report. The research group predicts the B2B e-procurement market will reach $8 billion by 2005.
In a recent Computerwire article, AMR Research forecasts that companies will continue to invest in B2B software and services and that the overall Enterprise Commerce Management (ECM) market will reach $264 billion by 2005, a significant increase from $108 billion in 2001. In the e-procurement space, Peregrine was ranked fourth alongside Ariba (first), Commerce One (second), SAP AG (third) and Oracle (fifth). Additionally, AMR said that indirect procurement software is poised to become more complex and to handle multiple products, not just office supplies. More than 900 software vendors were surveyed on growth, market share and revenue for the report.
