September 26, 2001—Forbes magazine has ranked Peregrine Systems, Inc. sixth among software companies on the Forbes ASAP Dynamic 100 list. Peregrine scored 4.67 out of a possible 5 in each of the three key categories of Change, Opportunity, and People. The Forbes ASAP Dynamic 100 recognizes technology companies in each of eight categories (semiconductors, software, Internet, wireless and telecom, biotechnology, network and telecom, peripherals and hardware) that have weathered a difficult macroeconomic environment and continued to perform.
Forbes ASAP compiled an initial list of 300 companies, then polled hundreds of financial analysts, asking them to rank each company based on the following factors: 1. Change: How well does the company respond to change? 2. Opportunity: How big is the potential market for the company’s products? 3. Sell: How well does the company respond to its market opportunity? 4. People: How strong is the company’s human capital? 5. Alliances: How strong are its partners and its relationships? 6.
