October 12, 2005—Donald J. Trump and partner Phil G. Ruffin awarded Perini Building Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Perini Corp., a $370 million construction contract to build Trump International Hotel & Tower Las Vegas. Bergman, Walls & Associates Ltd., is the architect for the project. Interior design firm is Design 360 Unlimited.
Perini broke ground in July 2005 and will complete construction by the first quarter of 2008. Perini recently completed the $3 million, custom-designed sales center that features two furnished model units and a 10-foot revolving replica of the tower.
According to Perini, the entire project is designed for opulence, including the exterior that will be clad in 24-carat gold glass. When complete, the tower will stand 640 feet tall with 64 stories, making it the highest structure in Las Vegas. It is located west of the New Frontier Hotel, just off the Las Vegas Strip.
The project features 1,282 condominium hotel units ranging from studios to multiple room suites. All of the units will be luxuriously furnished and include floor to ceiling windows. European-style kitchen appliances, Italian marble floors in the entries and baths, large bathrooms with twin sinks, custom-designed vanities, marble counter tops, and spa tubs in the master baths. The sixth floor will have a 36,000-sq.ft. recreation deck and pool. The condominium hotel tower and five-story garage encompass 2 million sq.ft. and sit on 6 acres.
According to representatives of Trump Las Vegas Sales & Marketing Inc., 100 percent of the condominium units in the tower have been reserved. Prices range from $600,000 to $6 million.
