October 1, 2004—Permalight photoluminescent door handle markers speed up building evacuation by making the handles of exit doors immediately visible, even during darkness emergencies. The photoluminescent glowing door handle markers are made from durable polycarbonate with Permalight Power high performance luminance values of 150/22. They are available pointing left or right.
For installation, the silicone paper backing is removed and the self-adhesive photoluminescent markers are applied right behind the door handle. Once the electrical power fails in a building, occupants can immediately locate the marked handles for the exit doors, enabling a swifter and calmer evacuation.
