November 15, 2002—Pacific Gas and Electric Co. is launching its annual Winter Watch Program—an educational campaign to give customers the knowledge they need to be safe and save energy during winter storm season. The program is designed for customers in northern and central California, where meteorologists are calling for a mild El Nino winter season, with the possibility of weather systems that will at times bring strong winds and heavy precipitation.
The campaign informs customers of the precautions they should undertake before a storm hits, as well as what to do should they lose power during a storm.
