December 29, 2006—Philips Lighting Company, the US-based lighting company affiliated with Royal Philips Electronics, has achieved the rigorous IDW2 Business Information Data Audit Certification awarded by IDEA, an industry owned e-commerce service provider, the company has announced.
This is the first time Philips Lighting has been awarded this recognition by IDEA.
As one of a select group of manufacturers, Philips Lighting has successfully met all requirements for the Industry Data Warehouse version 2.0 (IDW2) Data Audit Certification program and has been identified as a supplier offering the highest quality data for the entire electrical industry.
In meeting IDEA’s rigorous certification, Philips Lighting had to demonstrate that its products met or exceeded criteria of consistent, accurate, timely data that not only conformed to the IDW2 format and highest quality standards, but also is constantly evaluated and updated. For instance, each certified manufacturer must test and evaluate its data at least four times a year.
The newest IDW2 Data Audit Certification includes Philips Lighting’s extensive portfolio of advanced incandescent, halogen, and fluorescent products for the consumer, commercial, retail, and industrial sectors, says the company.
