April 19, 2006—Pitney Bowes Inc. hsa bundled its state-of-the-art technology and Six Sigma processes into a comprehensive offering called the Pitney Bowes Mailworks solution. Pitney Bowes Mailworks connects an organization’s inbound and outbound mail flows with core business processes to help improve customer communication, lower costs and minimize the risk associated with the flow of mail, documents and packages into, within and out of businesses and government agencies.
“Pitney Bowes is the only company that can print, finish, mail and manage the flow of documents, and the information and funds associated with these flows,” stated Vincent De Palma, executive vice president and president, Pitney Bowes Management Services (PBMS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pitney Bowes Inc. “By managing these individual processes holistically and tying them to critical business processes, our customers can achieve significant process improvements and efficiencies.”
There are three areas of a business’ mailstream operations that Pitney Bowes Mailworks addresses: postage and carrier management; mail center management; and business continuity and risk management.
Pitney Bowes Mailworks is the first component of the company’s overall strategy to help organizations manage all elements of their total mailstream processes, which also include print and document management operations, says the company.
