December 10, 2007—Abn Amro, an international bank headquartered in Europe, has selected the Planon Integrated Workplace Management Software (IWMS) solution to replace its current system. As a worldwide financial institution, the bank focuses on consumers, commercial customers, and worldwide multinationals, financial institutions, and private clients. Planon has been a global leader in the IWMS market for over 25 years and is recognized by Gartner, a research resource for tech professionals, as a leader in the industry.
Abn Amro’s Facility Management Services (FMS) has been using a custom-built FM software package for several years to coordinate operations with external parties. Since the existing application was highly customized it often took exceedingly long to modify or to add new functionality.
Planon’s extensive capabilities and flexibility convinced FMS that it was time to replace their current systems, which will begin in January of 2008. The Phase One implementation will focus on Work Orders, Reservations, and Reporting. Next an Employee Self Service (ESS) portal will go live followed by Space Management.
Using the ESS portal employees of the bank will be able to submit work order requests, make reservations, and purchase supplies. Planon will use its industry leading Planon Implementation Method (PIM) and “Best Practices” in the financial sector to assure a successful and timely implementation.
