Platts to provide energy infrastructure security analysis system to US government agencies

December 3, 2003—Platts announced that it has signed a $1.93 million annual contract with the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) allowing the Federal Government to use Platts POWERmap geospatial database along with key statistical data from various Platts energy database systems.

Platts is the global energy information division of The McGraw-Hill Companies.

The Platts services will be used across multiple US federal government agencies for critical energy infrastructure security risk analysis and mitigation, and system reliability. The contract was secured through a fast-track Request for Proposal process.
