Power saver for HIDs and fluorescents can save 15-20%

Because High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps require less power to burn than to start, Wattman Lighting Voltage Controller reduces voltage to the lamps by 15 to 25%, based on predetermined times for the lamp to ignite and stabilize. The controller works with fluorescent and HID lighting systems, including metal halide, high-pressure sodium and mercury vapor lamps. Power reduction is unnoticeable to the human eye.

The unit contains three transformers, three switch legs, and a control board; it is installed directly at the lighting electrical panel. It fits dedicated lighting circuits of 120, 277, 240 and 480 volts, single- or three-phase, in capacities of 20 to 150 amps. Further information is available by calling 800-200-5233.
