December 27, 2004—PowerCold Corporation has announced the startup of a national design-build project management services program. The company has expanded the operations of its Applied Building Technology (ABT) division to supply complete turnkey design-build project management services for major national hotel, restaurant, and retail chains.
ABT will coordinate and manage the design, engineering, and extended service for new and retrofit building projects, including HVAC equipment, building automation controls, plumbing, fire protection, electrical and permitting. The Company will rely on the construction trades industry to build, install and service projects using general contractors and mechanical contractors that are members of PowerCold’s National Associates Alliance.
Through its network of alliances, PowerCold leverages the expertise available within various trade organizations across the U.S. to provide customers with the most comprehensive “concept-to-completion” building solutions available today. ABT coordinates a nationwide network of engineers, architects, general contractors, subcontractors and equipment manufacturers working in concert with PowerCold to provide a turnkey building package that is energy efficient and cost-effective.
The expansion of ABT is one of several key growth initiatives implemented by PowerCold in 2004. First, the company signed marketing agreements with a number of vendors to expand its portfolio of products and services. Then, PowerCold obtained a multi-million dollar financing program to provide a stable funding source for the company and its customers. Next, PowerCold signed marketing agreements with two international hospitality corporations to supply central HVAC systems to hotel franchisees. Now Applied Building Technology will provide complete turnkey design-build project management packages for national hotels, restaurants and retail chains.
