PowerCold’s HVAC systems can cut energy costs 25%-40%

PowerCold Corporation, a company that develops, manufactures, and markets energy-saving products, recently announced that it has licensed a new technology for an energy-efficient heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system for commercial and office buildings. Combined with the company’s Nauticon line of evaporative condensers and water chillers, and its Integrated Piping System Technology, the new Ultimate Comfort System technology is expected to consistently reduce heating and air conditioning energy costs to customers by up to 40%, as well as reducing operating and maintenance costs. The primary market initially targeted for this technology is the hospitality industry.

An energy study has projected energy cost savings as high as 70% when PowerCold’s hybrid electric/natural gas microgenerator is added to power the Ultimate Comfort HVAC system. The technology has received a first place Commercial Buildings Award from the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Tomorrow’s Energy Today Award.
