June 21, 2004—PowerCold Corporations wholly owned subsidiary PowerCold ComfortAir Solutions, Inc. (PCS) has been awarded several new national retail store and restaurant chain contracts that will generate more than $2,000,000 in additional revenue.
Additionally, a marketing agreement with First Energy Group, LLC and the signing of Conditioned Environments, Inc. as a member of the Company’s National Contractors Alliance, increases PowerCold’s market coverage across the U.S.
PCS is redesigning new HVAC systems for several national restaurant chain accounts including Chick-fil-A, Popeyes Chicken, and Bob O’Grady’s. The redesigned HVAC systems will improve air quality, reduce humidity, and resolve ventilation and temperature concerns.
A Burger King restaurant in Bakersfield, California will soon receive PowerCold’s first plastic evaporative cooling system. The patented system is expected to reduce electric power costs by approximately 30 – 40%. Plans are to install these new HVAC Systems in other Burger King restaurants nationwide.
In addition to restaurant chain accounts, PCS received new contracts from top national drug store chains, Walgreens and Eckerd. PCS received its first Walgreens’ contract for a store located in Forest Lake, Florida, and expects several more Walgreens drug stores to follow. PCS also received additional contracts for seven more Eckerd drug stores from Florida to Kansas. Ultimately, with the sale of the Eckerd chain, these stores will be converted to CVS drug stores.
Other new contracts awarded in May include a Sonic Drive-In restaurant, Lakeland, FL, two HVAC systems for Ice Kube Systems ice skating rinks in Canada, a medical building in Denver, CO, a hotel in Nevada, and ten additional Nauticon units for Trane Corporation.
PCS recently signed an agreement with First Energy Group LLC, Old Bridge, New Jersey, to jointly promote their environmental products to both First Energy Customers and PCS customers. First Energy Group is an energy management company whose holistic approach to energy efficiency, also known as “building optimization,” means more opportunity for clients to reduce their operating expenses and increase profitability. The alliance with First Energy further expands PCS’ products and services offerings, and solidifies its reputation and expertise as a world-class provider of custom HVAC systems.
Conditioned Environments, Inc. (CEI), a design build general contracting firm in Southern California is the newest member of PowerCold’s National Contractors Alliance (NCA). The NCA is a national design build program created to meet the increasing demands for clean air and energy-efficient, cost-effective HVAC commercial applications. The nationwide network of contractors, architects and equipment manufacturers established by the NCA enables PowerCold to market various U.S. regions and directly support local site requirements for comfort, safety and reliability, all at affordable prices.
