President Bush selects David Garman for EERE nomination

President George W. Bush has announced his intention to nominate David Garman to be assistant secretary of energy for the US Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), which develops and deploys efficient and clean energy technologies.

Garman is currently chief of staff to Senator Frank Murkowski and served as a professional staff member on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee from 1995-98. As the EERE assistant secretary, he will provide the direction for DOE efforts to advance energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies.
