March 2, 2005—Pretrieve has launched a free public record search engine that makes information from multiple sources more accessible to consumers, real estate appraisers, small business owners and other professionals.
Pretrieve’s service connects researchers to county, state and national public records through categorized links that deliver users directly to their search results.
“Finding public record information on the Internet has always been a challenge,” said Paul Bunting, president of Pretrieve. “In our investigations, we found that the big search engines didn’t go deep enough to find the searchable databases that we were looking for, and we needed a way to tap into the resources of the deep Web.”
Pretrieve LLC is a privately owned, Atlanta-based company that develops Web search engine technology for public record retrieval.
