March 23, 2007—Primex Wireless, Inc., a world leader in global positioning system (GPS) wireless synchronized time systems, has introduced a new IP paging and intercom system that will help organizations such as schools, hospitals universities, and government operations better manage their access control communications, the company says.
The new server-based system was designed to scale to manage hundreds of intercom and paging endpoints distributed over an IP network, no matter where they are located, says Primex.
For example, operations needing communication resources in remote areas where phones do not exist would benefit from using the new IP paging and intercom system to receive important updates or instructions. In addition, organizations that have the need to track calls, record conversations or make system-wide announcements can use the Primex Wireless solution to increase operational efficiency and productivity.
This system represents the company’s first move to offer the market a product beyond its traditional time-based products, says Primex.
