November 16, 2001—Less than two months after forming an alliance to develop energy management solutions, Patriot Scientific Corp. (PTSC) and IntraCoastal System Engineering Corp. are announcing the development of a prototype for remote energy management via the Web.
The solution, called Open Services Gateway Initiative, addresses the immediacy of problems related to the high cost and shortage of electricity in North America. Using these solutions, electric utilities and customers can remotely manage their commercial, and industrial power consumption devices using Internet technology. This prototype is the first initiative of the technology alliance between PTSC and IntraCoastal, which plan to release an entire suite of products addressing energy management markets.
