October 3, 2003—QBIC III Systems Inc., a provider of facility asset management solutions, has enhanced its mobile solution, QBICMobile, by integrating Arch Wireless two-way paging technology into Gallaudet University’s existing computerized maintenance management system, QBICFlex.
Utilizing QBICMobile, Gallaudet’s campus maintenance technicians receive corrective and preventive work orders through e-mail via the Arch Wireless network. They then view work order details, post labor and material, and complete work orders using Motorola P935 pagers. The system avoids the need to outfit staff with more expensive PDAs.
QBIC offers its mobile maintenance management system as an optional module to its core client server, QBICFlex.
