July 25, 2001—UK Facilities Managers who are tired of dealing with disreputable builders and tradesmen will benefit from the government program launched to the public in Birmingham and Somerset during the summer of 2001. More than 300 firms, including the members of many leading trade associations in the repair, maintenance, and improvement sectors, have gone through the Quality Mark assessment process. Those receiving the Quality Mark have agreed to comply with the law, to give clients clear and accurate information, and to work in accordance with accepted standards of practice.
Builders who work in Birmingham or Somerset and want to get the Quality Mark can contact the Quality Mark Call Centre at 0845 300. For more information, visit the DTLR.
