July 10, 2002—In an increasingly litigious building and construction climate fueled by toxic mold issues, California-based Quickflash Weatherproofing Products Inc. is expanding its reach beyond California into the national marketplace, with special thrusts into Georgia, Texas, Florida, New York, and other regions where its products are not yet widely utilized.
Quickflash manufactures high-grade polyethylene plastic flashing panels for plumbing and electrical exterior protrusions. These products, the company asserts, have tested as highly effective in stopping leaks and keeping out moisture, which can lead to toxic mold, dry rot, and other problems. They are designed for multiple finishes such as stucco, wood siding, and veneers, and they reportedly eliminate the need for sheet metal flashing and caulking.
