RainTube receives top honors in 2008 Benchmarking Sustainability Awards

March 6, 2009—Green Building Pages has announced its 2008 Benchmarking Sustainability Awards, recognizing product manufacturers for outstanding achievement in environmental and social sustainability. RainTube, manufactured by GLI Systems, Inc. of Jacksonville, Oregon, won awards in six of seven categories.

RainTube is a porous tubular gutter filtering system hydraulically designed to absorb water at the rate of more than 100 inches per hour. It is 100 percent recyclable and fits any roof gutter.

Green Building Pages recognized the following companies and products for exemplary performance according to the Green Building Pages Benchmarking Sustainability evaluation criteria in alignment with the ASTM-E2129 Standard Practice for Data Collection for Sustainable Building Products and the Sustainable Materials Rating Technology (SMaRT) building product consensus standard recognized by the USGBC.
