August 22, 2005—Remote Dynamics, Inc., a leading provider of mobile resource management solutions for commercial fleets, has released REDIview Version 1.5.
The additional functionality enables faster access to critical fleet information, and the ability to integrate a company’s remote workforce to its corporate network, the company says. Since the initial product launch in January 2005, Remote Dynamics has sold over 4,000 REDIview units within markets such as construction, communications, energy, and HVAC.
REDIview is a suite of mobile resource management solutions created for managing and maintaining metro short-haul commercial fleets and providing these businesses with affordable access to enterprise-level telematics designed to cut costs and improve operations, regardless of fleet or mobile workforce size. Key new features in REDIview 1.5 include Fleet Status, which provides a textual, at-a-glance view of company fleets; REDIsense, which provides the ability to monitor critical activities of the mobile workforce through use of standard vehicle sensors such as seatbelt engaged, cab door ajar, and battery voltage; and REDIconnect, which provides Internet access through the REDIview mobile unit.
