RHS Solutions, a national risk management consulting firm, has added six new Web-based training courses to its Online Education Center. Electrical Safety for General Industry, Fall Protection, First Aid, Ladder Safety, Defensive Driving and Personal Protective Equipment for General Industry are the latest course additions designed to help employers meet OSHA’s training requirements.
The complete Online Education Center catalog has over 40 courses available in the areas of occupational safety and health, transportation safety, environmental compliance, emergency response and management and human resources. New safety courses include:
- Electrical Safety—Overview of electrical safety for employees with little or no training or familiarity with electrical hazards and is intended for industrial workers who may use extension cords, electric tools, etc.
- Fall Protection—Shows employees how to use fall protection systems in construction settings. This course is designed for construction workers who work at elevations and their foremen/managers.
- First Aid—Covers basic first aid techniques for employees and managers in industrial or construction settings and is designed for workers who may respond to emergencies.
- Ladder Safety—Provides lessons in basic safety for any employee who will work on a ladder in a construction or industrial setting.
- Personal Protective Equipment—Teaches employees and their managers to use personal protective equipment in industrial settings. This course is designed for industrial workers and managers exposed to hazards to the head, eyes, hands and feet.
The Information Center offers sample policies and procedures, employee awareness and training documents, articles for newsletters, and safety programs, checklists and forms.
