March 11, 2005—Ricoh Corporation recently received two awards honoring its extensive line of digital office equipment as well as its support and maintenance services, the company says.
Ricoh received BERTL’s Platinum Readers’ Choice Award for its Multifunction Product (MFP) line in the Overall Productivity category. Ricoh’s MFPs, which encompass a wide variety of standalone and networked printing and document management solutions, were praised for their advanced speed capabilities and significant savings in time and money. The Readers’ Choice Awards are conducted each year to determine the most outstanding manufacturers in the digital imaging market. Responses in six categories were received from technical professionals and enterprise buyers in 47 countries who are responsible for managing more than 175,000 devices.
Ricoh also received a Certificate of Appreciation by the United States Army Garrison Command for its exceptional copier service and outstanding support to Fort Hood during rapid Iraq deployments and constant unit movements throughout the installation in support of the war effort. The award marks the first time Fort Hood has honored a vendor for its services. In 2000, Ricoh developed a tailored program that met the unique needs of Fort Hood, including ensuring a secure flow of critical information. Today, Ricoh is responsible for 675 units of equipment, consisting of MFPs, which service the more than 60,000 troops stationed at Fort Hood.
