March 21, 2003—RMS Systems Inc., a division of Environmental Support Solutions, has been contracted to implement the US Forest Service’s Safety & Health Information Portal System (SHIPS).
The goal of SHIPS is to provide the Forest Service with a Web-based system to track injury and illness, and to address crucial safety issues in order to provide superior safety practices. It will also serve as a central repository of accident and injury reports from which Occupational Safety & Health Administration logs and reports can be generated.
SHIPS is a version of RMS Systems’ Compliance Suite Safety Management Software configured to meet the Forest Service requirements. Forest Service employees will access SHIPS via its connectHR, the Internet dashboard provided by the TALX Corporation.
