March 14, 2005—The Rotary Action File, introduced by Datum Filing Systems, takes advantage of the fact that staples fasteners and paper clips make most filed material thicker at one edge than the other, the company says. The file is circular in shape and compresses the files on the inner circumference, so the thicker edge of the file can spread along the outer circumference.
Seven tiers are available in sizes ranging from 36 inches to 54 inches in diameter, and they can be stacked seven levels high. Each tier turns independently, enabling any number of employees instant access to records, the company says.
