Schindler acquires Dynamic, Sterling elevator companies

May 14, 2007—Slade Industries, Inc. has completed the purchase of Dynamic Elevator Corporation, Inc., a privately held business based in New York , New York , the company has announced. Slade Industries, Inc. is owned by Schindler Enterprises, Inc., the US holding company of the Schindler Group, one of the world’s leading elevator and escalator manufacturers.

Slade services, repairs and modernizes passenger and freight elevators throughout the New York metropolitan area. Founded in 1911, the business was purchased by Schindler Enterprises, Inc. in 2005.

Schindler also recently completed the purchase of the Bellevue-based Sterling Elevator, LLC, a move that enables Schindler to expand its portfolio in the Seattle area market, says the company.

The former Sterling Elevator, LLC, focused on elevator installation, service, repairs and modernization within Bellevue and the surrounding Seattle region.

The Schindler Group of companies manufactures, installs, services and modernizes a broad range of elevators, escalators and moving walks for various people-moving applications. For more on the company, see the Web site.
