July 25, 2001—Sherwood Johnston III, Designated Broker for CarrAmerica Realty in Phoenix was sworn in as the 50th president of the Building Owners and Managers Association International on June 19, 2001. He succeeds Richard Baier for the 2001-2002 term.
As a longtime proponent of BOMAs industry-defining initiatives, Johnston has served on the executive committee and presidents advisory council and has chaired the government affairs and suburban and industrial buildings/development special interest group.
