August 1, 2008 Siemens Building Technologies has acquired one hundred percent of MAC Systems, Inc., an access control and security management systems based in Canton, Massachusetts.
In addition to CCTV and video recording systems, MAC Systems specializes in optical as well as in biometric access control systems.
MAC Systems addresses a wide range of market segments spanning research centers, universities, high security government facilities and other commercial used buildings. Currently the company employs a workforce of 60 people and has a large customer base throughout the business region of New England states. MAC Systems will be fully integrated in the Siemens Building Technology Division, says Siemens.
